Your Mom and I have been quite busy the past few days getting ready for your birthday party. Your Mom driving all over to get games for the kids and food for the adults. While I've been doing things around the house and making your cake.Your Mom got home late from work on Friday, made all of the sandwiches for the kids and came to bed. You woke up around 2am and wouldn't go back to sleep, so you slept with us.You & I got out of bed around 6am and let Mom sleep. The party started around 12 noon, about 20 minutes after you awoke from your morning nap.Jon Crowley helped us by bringing your Hi Chair to the park, since both our cars were filled with food, favors and fun stuff. We got down to Memorial Park and started setting up.Jon & Ben were there first, then your Grandpa & Grandpa Gemelli. Next Boo & David pulled up, and Ben & David made quick friends.Nana & Pop Dooley arrived along with Aunt Peg & Liam and shortly after Aunt Pat, Uncle Mike and Cousin Megan got to the party. The Gazas (Cope, Mary, Thomas and Clare), the Arnolds (Mike, Liz, Olivia & Jarrod), the Fowlers(Marie, Shannon & Erin), the Morans (Terrance, Margaret, Allison & Connor), Aunt Karen and the McHales(VJ,Melissa, Matthew and Christopher), all arrived shortly afterwards. We played wiffle ball and some of the kids ran around the athletic track while others played on the Jungle Gym or the swings. Almost everyone made a hat with the cool stickers your Mom got. You amazed everyone by walking all over the place and smiling and laughing.Towards the end we put up the pinata and everyone filled their goody bag when Jarrod found the secret ribbon that released the treasure. Finally we all sang Happy Birthday to You and I think Ben blew out your candle.Afterwards Mom, and the Dooleys drove back to the house, while I wheeled you home as you slept in your carriage. The Dooleys were a big help in cleaning up and then we opened your presents in the living room.Sunday we took it easy, me & you woke early and headed to Shop Rite for bagels, eggs and a gallon of whole milk... time for you to kick the formula habit. We were worried you might have a hard time with the milk, but you haven't skipped a beat yet, 2 full days and no visible effects.Today I left for work early, so I could leave early to get you at the Dooleys since Pop would be alone with you.Your Uncle BJ stopped in to see you before work and gave you your birthday present, a singing Teddy in a Hawaiian shirt and a stuffed lobster in a raincoat from his trip in Maine.I picked you up and you napped in the car and in the driveway when we got home. When you woke up we got on the bike and rode to the playground at Washington School, and you loved climbing on the Jungle Gym. You met some kids, Peter and his younger sister Emma. Then you met Sam who was 4 and had a lot of fun with him while I spoke with his parents Mark and ?.We left there had some dinner (grapes, pasta, peas, & a little meat) and then you took a bath had some milk and past out for the evening.
